The members of the coalition “For Women’s Political Engagement” will meet gender advisers

In the frame of the project “Gender Justice through Strengthening Women’s Political Engagement” Women’s Information Center holds a meeting. The members of the coalition “For Women’s Political Engagement” will meet human rights and gender adviser of Prime Minister of Georgia, Tamar Chugoshvili, gender adviser of the minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Kakhaber Tsetskhladze and gender adviser of the Assembly of the Municipality of Gori, Manana Iluridze.

Gender policy of the country and future plans will be discussed during the meeting. Guests will also be informed about the activities of the coalition “For Women’s Political Engagement”.

It should be noted that the initiators of appointment of gender adviser in the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia and Municipality of Gori were the representatives of Women’s Information Center and the members of the coalition “For Women’s Political Engagement”.

The project is implemented by Women’s Information Center, with the support of Georgian representatives of British charity organization OXFAM. The project aims to increase women’s involvement in political life of the country. The coalition “For Women’s Political Engagement” has been create in July 2013 in the frame of this project.
