Ministry of Internal Affairs detained one person for the attempted premeditated murder of family member

The officers of Isani-Samgori police division of Tbilisi Police Main Division under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operative and investigative activities, detained M.B. (DoB 1971) in Tbilisi for the attempted murder of a family member.

Committed crime envisages from 13 to 17 years of imprisonment.

Investigation established that on October 5, detainee inflicted multiple injuries with a cold steel to his spouse – L.G. (DoB 1970) on the basis of jealousy. The wounded woman was transferred to the hospital, where she was rendered relevant medical assistance.

M.B. was detained by the law enforcers shortly after the crime took place as a result of immediate activities.

Investigation is in progress under the article 111 19-109, II part, sub-paragraph “F” of the Criminal Code of Georgia, envisaging the attempted premeditated murder of family member.
