GENDER VIOLENCE
The officers of Shida Kartli Police Department as a result of operative-search and investigative activities detained I.K. (DoB 1986) in Surami for premeditated murder under aggravated circumstances committed against family member.
Committed crime envisages from 13 to 17 years of imprisonment.
Investigation established that detainee inflicted lethal injury, supposedly with firearm to his spouse- T.R. (DoB 1989) who died at the place of crime.
Law enforcers seized the weapon of crime as evidence. Detainee has already pleaded guilty.
Before the mentioned incident, no statement or report has been received by the Ministry of Internal Affairs on the supposed conflict between the spouses, thus no restraining order has ever been issued by the agency.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of premeditated murder under aggravated circumstances committed against family member, article 111 -109, II part, sub-paragraph “F” of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
